Handmade Turkish Square Walnut Chess Set 10" – Blue Mother-of-Pearl Board

An inlaid walnut chess set, handmade in Turkey

Compact and refined, this 10-inch (25 cm) square walnut and mother-of-pearl chess set is entirely handmade in Turkey. The top, sides and drawers are covered in mosaic inlay with geometric patterns, a painstaking piece of artisan work.

A genuine mother-of-pearl board

Both the blue and the white squares are made of real mother-of-pearl, which catches the light and shifts with the viewing angle. A noble material that makes this board a precious object.

Figurative metal pieces

The 32 pieces are true metal figurines in a gold and silver finish, depicting armoured figures. They are detailed and steady on the board.

Storage on both sides

Two sliding drawers with brass knobs, one on each side, are lined in red and fitted with slots for each player's pieces.

A practical size and a lovely gift

Its compact size makes it easy to place on a desk, shelf or coffee table, and easy to give. An elegant gift idea for a chess lover: birthday, Father's Day or Christmas.

Also available with a royal blue board. Available online and at our Medina Palais boutique, 3852 Saint-Denis Street in Montréal.
