Oriental lamps create a warm, colourful light. Here is how to choose yours from our handmade lighting.
1. Glass mosaic or pierced copper?
- Turkish mosaic lamps: small pieces of coloured glass set by hand on a globe. They cast vivid colours, ideal for a festive mood or a cosy living-room corner.
- Moroccan pierced copper lighting: the metal is hammered and pierced by hand. The light projects patterns onto the walls and ceiling; the choice for a dining room or entryway.
2. Table lamp, pendant or chandelier?
- Table lamp: on a console, nightstand or sideboard. Our mosaic table lamps come in several heights (13, 15 and 19 in).
- Single-globe pendant: above a counter or in a corner; the bigger the globe, the stronger the light.
- Multi-globe chandelier: the centrepiece of a living or dining room.
3. Bulbs and installation
Our copper lighting uses a North American E12 socket, easy to find anywhere in Canada; the bulb type is listed on every product page. Choose warm-white LED bulbs (2700 K): they stay cool and bring out the colours. Pendants and chandeliers connect to a standard electrical box; call an electrician if in doubt.
4. Care
With the lamp off and cool, dust with a dry cloth or a soft brush. For mosaic, a barely damp cloth is enough; dry right away.
